Wick’s Roofing Solar & Electric

Garrett Gunning attended the University of Santa Cruz and graduated in 2010 with a BA in Environmental Scient and a minor in Agro Ecology. He quickly moved into the working segment of his life in the roofing and solar industry the same year of graduating, making that nearly 13 years in the construction trades to date.

Garrett is currently the co-owner and vice president of WICKS ROOFING SOLAR & ELECTRIC.

The background and experience he has from the past 13 years entails Garretts entire professional career. He is the license holder for Wicks for both their C-10 and C-46 contractors license’s. His professional training started from counting parts in the warehouse, to installing projects in the fields, to now owning and operating the company with offices in Nipomo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.

He now wants to get involved with SBCA and soon become a part of the board because he cares about the community. Not only is Garrett local to Santa Barbara, but his parents and grandparents have been rooted in the Santa Barbara County and Santa Ynez Valley their entire lives. He ultimately wants to become a board member to help support his community of builders, give back, and contribute in any way he can to the community he calls home.

On his off time, Garrett likes to get into all sorts of adventures such as surf, ski, snowboard, bbq, camp, and hang out with family and friends.
